Years of Severe Stomach Pain
I have been struggling with severe stomach pain as a result of complications from a previous surgery I had in my home country of Nigeria. For over two years I was going from one hospital to another in search of treatment for my pain. This was due to having extreme episodes of pain which left me helpless and grasping for life. I was scheduled for another surgery in December 2022 to check and see what the problem could be, but at the same time, my Visa application came successfully through, which would allow me to travel to the UK.

My elder sister advised me just to collect some medication from the Doctor in Nigeria to help with the pain, then when I arrived in the UK I could seek medical care here, which she believed would be better. With this in mind, I travelled to the UK, but for some reason, I decided to try and manage the pain anytime it came. On this faithful day in November 2023, I had another horrible episode of stomach pain, I was in Christ Church that morning, praise and worship was going on around me and everyone was worshipping but I was just in pain. I was planning to book a taxi and go home so I could take the usual painkillers.
“God you know what, I have heard of your mighty works all my life, even if this pain will not stop forever, please can you at least make it go for now.”
Then Jen mentioned healing in a song and I said to God, “God you know what, I have heard of your mighty works all my life, even if this pain will not stop forever, please can you at least make it go for now.” Kofo was right beside me speaking in the spirit, I turned to her with tears, grabbed her hands and placed them on my stomach, she didn’t even know what was going on. She asked if I wanted some water and I said “No”. I just said, “Please Keep praying”.

We prayed with Ben leading worship with Jen, and then for the first time in my life, in less than 60 seconds the pain that brought me to tears had completely gone. All I could say was “Thank you Jesus”. These stomach pains were normally worse at that time of the month for my cycle, then I usually experience more pain, but since my healing in November last year, I don’t even know when my period starts, there are no cramps, no pains. With this healing, I have also been able to speak to people about God more passionately and convincingly, as I know our God is an awesome God!
