If you want to become a Christian, repent and invite Jesus into your life that is AMAZING!
Here is a simple prayer you can pray:
God, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. Father God, I believe that your Son Jesus Christ died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from them to you.
You said in the bible that if we confess our sins to God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.
Right now I confess Jesus as my Lord. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Saviour. Thank you for accepting and saving me. Amen.

Becoming a Christian is much more than a fresh start. And it is not about suddenly needing to follow a list of rules. It is the beginning of a new relationship with God. It takes time and effort to build a good relationship with new friends. The same is true as you begin a new life as a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ. Just as you would get to know all about a new friend, it is important to get to know God. Here are some good next steps you can take.
Jesus said that if you acknowledge me to people, I will acknowledge you before my Father (Matthew 10:32). Your new faith is not meant to be hidden away so let someone know this amazing decision you have made.
Prayer is simply talking to God. You can do it out loud or in your head, on your own or in a group. Just use everyday language like you would talking to a friend, no fancy language is required. The Bible tell us to do it often and talk to God about everything even though it may seem strange at first.
The best place to start if you want to know what God is like is to read the Bible. It can seem an intimidating book at first – it is long and complex.
We recommend:
1. starting with a gospel (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John).
2. Read in a group. This will not only make it easier to keep going but you will most likely have loads of questions and it’s helpful to have somewhere to go.
Being a Christian is the best decision you’ll ever make but it can be hard on your own. Jesus created us to do life together, where we can encourage each other to live this new life for Jesus. If you are looking for a church and live on the Fylde we would love to invite you to join our church family, please get in touch or just turn up on any given Sunday.
Jesus asks that all who want to follow him repent (turn from their old life) and then get baptised. Baptism is the public demonstration by an individual, acknowledging that they have been saved by grace through their faith in Jesus. This is depicted by being plunged underwater, symbolising our death, burial and resurrection with Jesus (Romans 4:9-12, Romans 6:3-4).
To live for Jesus we need to be empowered, filled (baptised) with the Holy Spirit. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, He ignites new gifts in our lives to display the power of Jesus. These may include a supernatural boldness to share about Christ with others or the power to leave past sins. Some may get a spiritual prayer language or words of knowledge or healing. God is good and there are many gifts that he wants to give you.
To receive baptism in the Holy Spirit you can ask a Christian friend to pray for you or just on your own, invite Jesus to fill you with His Spirit where you are.
