Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a Christian charitable company in the United Kingdom founded in Bradford, West Yorkshire by John Kirkby in 1996. It is a national organisation specialising in debt counselling for people in financial difficulty, including those in need of bankruptcy or insolvency. It also provides Job Clubs for those seeking employment and Fresh Start Courses for people looking to overcome addictions and dependencies.

Freeing people from the bondage of dept, helping overcome addiction and bring hope to those in need is central to the gospel message of Christ.  So Christ Church is very exited to be partnering with CAP.  We will be running our first Job club in the new year and pray that in time we will be able to increase the help we can offer to our town, with the aid of great organisations like CAP.

CAP Job Club

CAP Job Club is a friendly place where you will get practical help as
you seek employment. It’s a relaxed environment with the chance to meet other
jobseekers, get support and gain the tools you need to find work.

Being unemployed can be hard to deal with on your own,
but being part of our Job Club means you face the challenge with other people
in similar situations. Across CAP 25% of job club attendees now find work!

‘CAP Job clubs are brilliant – there’s something for everybody that is
out of work. I got a job within the first month – it’s absolutely fantastic

If you are intrested in getting involved with our Job Club please get in
touch.
